Q: Dear Fresh ‘N Lean,
I have two kids, ages five and seven, and I would love to sign up for your plan, but I am struggling with the idea of getting my kids to eat a diet like this. They are chicken-nugget-and-fries type children and I shudder at the thought of trying to make the switch. I know it is for their own good and I am already starting to see weight issues in my eldest, but I am just not sure how to get them to have healthy eating habit’s. Any thoughts?

A: Dear Concerned,
While you are not alone, there is no time like now to make the change and get your children in the habit of eating healthy foods that will help them lead better lives. It will not be easy. But it is imperative that you do this for a number of reasons.
For one, childhood obesity is at an all-time high and will substantially raise your child’s chances of getting type II diabetes, a leading cause of blindness and other maladies. A Being overweight may also become a self-esteem issue and make your child an emotional eater, thus putting him/her at risk of becoming a binge/emotional eater and developing a plethora of future issues.
Your children are still young. You control what and when they eat and if they done€™t like what you are serving, then they can go to bed hungry. It may sound very old fashioned but one night without dinner
never hurt anyone.and what was the childhood obesity rate 100 years ago? You need to be strong, but you can do it and in a couple of weeks, I will bet your kids end up enjoying the food and you will likely see behavior improvements as well.
Wishing you the best of luck,
Fresh N Lean
